Re: Should NM get an Overland world?
To be honest gatz i've spent many nights wondering how you live with yourself without an overland. I know of several muds that have Zoned areas in their ovreland so it wouldn't be preposterous for you to tailer each zone to have special encounters.. what might be simpler though would be to have "Camps" and "Dens" set up so that npcs would spawn from there and then area allowed to roam the overland freely.. of course distance from home should also make them more likely to vanish or weaker. As part of the naruto mythos is about tactics.. supply chains for enemies would get thin quickly

Ningu ideas
Ningu seems cool as it is but it also seems like it could use some further improvement. My suggestion to this effect would be to add things such as a skill to make and use paperbombs, Puppets, insects, animals, food pills, and use poisons. The way i see it you only find a few puppet users in naruto and so far they've all been in sand but that's limited, instead of limiting things like puppets and insects to a village give each village it's own variations like was done with the bunshin ninjutsu. ideas for food pills would be simple and help lead to a player economy, making foodpills and poisons should be a specialty skill like Suiken in that you have to meet very specific critera to have access to the skills to make them and a quest to learn them. However they should also have drawbacks to their user.. taking more then three food pills in a fight should drain health overtime to the user to the point of death. so while it'd have amazing properties and could heal you completely after one use.. if you use it two more times within a set period of time you will regret it, allthough that third pill should give a boost to damroll and accuracy.. but meh

bones, do they break to easy?
This is mostly a general complaint at the fact that i lose a pittance of my overall health but my arms and legs brake like twigs and i'm wanting to ask if anyone else finds it to be an annoyance. Personally i think limbs should be harder to break but their effects boosted and the time for them to heal longer..

in game Houseing/item banks
I'm thinking what naruto mud needs would be a place that we can stash all our unused items. A home or an item bank would be excelent. would allow us to be able to outfit ourselves for certin missions and not have to worry about loseing anything.

Re: Genjutsu Suggestion Thread
Custommizable genjutsu would be fun imo. As i see it you give a person a list of things to choose from much like with blood typing. As you set up your custom genjutsu the answers you give would affect the status caused, if any damage was received and if it's to Chakra stamina or health and even how the character caught would see things happening. A brief example of said questions could be:
Of these, which do you fear most?
#1.burning
#2.Freezing
#3.Drowning
#4.confined spaces
Of these, which do you find more pleasent
#1.Family
#2.Friends
#3.Pets
#4.Nature
Of these, which do you say is best descriptive of you
#!.I'm afraid
#2.I'm strong
#3.i'm aware
#4.I'm realistic
>also added effects could be based off bloodtype<
The whole point behind these questions would be to cobble together a custom Genjutsu, one question would add the effects, one would add the stats, one would add the realism the character viewing the genjutsu would preceive, And based off of the effects and the perception of the victum the name of the technique would be generated. I know this would be difficult to set up most likely what with linking the questions together
example
Mary ninja gave the following answers, I like trees, i am afraid of fire, and I'm aware. The genjutsu would most likely be generated in this case would be viewed by the victum as being lost in a burning forest. the affect would be an increased combat lag and an added fear effect which would lower damn/hit rolls.. and marginaly effect armor class.. however this is only a suggestion of a possible genjutsu feature for those who would like more customized content, like with trash talk.. incouperating trash talk into this genjutsu would also give an added sense of being traped in a world of someone elses making
PS. i origanly thought we could have a system similar to Henge when it comes to setting this genjutsu up and it may be a better way to go with this then what I have outlined here

health
I am Suggesting a health command that shows us the status of our chars Wounds in a more compact version. don't get me wrong i love that stat man we have but he is hard to read, for me mostly cause i'm colorblind, and partly due to the fact that it is a long streatch of txt and when your using it just to see if your arms are bout to break in the middle of battle that it gets kinda painfull.

Urumu- definition, to be clouded, be dimmed, or to be Blurred.
Alright this is a genjutsu that would have a few levels to it based on chakra used. to simply Urumu <target> would cloud the enemies sight making it seem as if they where in a fog, effect. this would lower their accuracy grealy. the next level would be an even greater lower in accuracy and would make the target feel as if they where in the dark. And level three, Level three would be somewhat differenet. instead of affecting the targets vision it would cloud the targets mind, if it hits successfully the target is made unable to attack his enemy first and give combat lag giving the genjutsu user the chance at a first strike.
