I threw an item at a mob in another room and I wasn't awarded exp for the hit:

You throw a steel chokuto at A Riyoku specialist!
Your a steel chokuto hits A Riyoku specialist with a hard thud!
A Riyoku specialist rips a steel chokuto out of his body and throws it on the ground!
Your projectile _demolishes_ A Riyoku specialist! You do 783 points of damage.
You gain 0 experience.

Since we were in 2x exp mode, that would have gotten me around 2 million exp, bit it awarded nothing.

Can you take a look?

Do you normally gain your average rate of experience for using throw?

yeah, I usually earn standard exp, but I wanted to show that it didn't seem to be just a downshift in exp, only that there wasn't any awarded.
