Yamashita walks into the back room of Shellz 'n Bellz and pulls a few pieces of armor out of his pack. "I'll need these fixed up today. There'll be an extra five ryo in it for you if you make it priority work," he says to the smith.
Ichiro steps quietly into the room, unhindered by his usual array of weapons. Spotting Yamashita, Ichiro says, "Ah! Yama-kun! I've been looking for you! What luck to have found you here. I was just getting ready to head to Nakama, but thought I'd stop in and ask the blacksmith if he'd seen you recently."
"Ichiro! I've been searching high and low for you," Yamashita greets his comrade and friend. "Keiko-chan said something about you being on a mission; is that where you were?".
Ichiro looks slightly confused, "No...hmm...wonder where she got that idea. I saw her just earlier this morning. However, I've just recently finished my research! I think you will be quite pleased with the results."
"Oh, good. Which one is this again?" Yamashita asks, excited to see what Ichiro has come up with this time.
Ichiro grins broadly, "I think we should step outside so I can show you. All those burns I received have finally paid off." Ichiro quickly makes his way out of the shop.
Yamashita follows Ichiro outside in anticipation of what is sure to be a good show from one of the best ninjutsu users in the village. "Burns, huh?" Yamashita asks with a grin. "So this is that bigger, better fire jutsu, then?"
Ichiro stops on the beach and says, "Yep. All that work finally paid off." Ichiro turns toward the river and forms a series of handseals very rapidly before puffing out his chest and shouting, "Katon: Karyuu Endan no Jutsu." Ichiro exhales rapidly sending a large blast of fire streaking across the ground and into the river, incinerating the reeds, creating small patches of glass in the sand and a large cloud of steam from the river.
Yamashita stands for a couple of seconds in awe of the fiery wonder he just saw. He then turns to his comrade, exclaiming "Holy crap! That was incredible! I bet that'll sear the skin right off a deer!"
Ichiro smiles, "Yep, it certainly can...not just deer either." Ichiro glances up at the sky, "Well, I mostly just wanted to show you the fruits of my research, so I should probably be going now." Ichiro looks as though he suddenly has an idea, "Oh, by the way, can you meet me at the abandoned practice field tomorrow afternoon?"
"Sure, I've got nothing else to do then." Yamashita answers as he heads back into the shop to reclaim his armor. "Are we doing anything special?"
Following Yamashita into the shop, Ichiro replies, "Just having a team meeting." Ichiro stops a few feet away from Yamashita, "I shall see you then." Ichiro bows to Yamashita then shatters into a puddle of water.
Yamashita feels a bit uneasy, having just seen his best friend destroy himself, and mumbles to no one, "I've told him not to do that in front of me." Yamashita sees his equipment ready for him and gives the smith his fee, plus a few extra ryo for his continued good service. "Thanks for the quick fix-up. I'll be sure to send my friends your way," Yamashita says with a smile as he picks up his armor and makes his way out.
