Enabling Local Echo in Telnet

Post by Hitoshi »

I know there are quite a few of you still using telnet for some reason that escapes be. But if you are going to use it atleast use local echo so you can see what you are typing.

When you connect press CTRL+] , this will take you to the interactive telnet terminal (don't worry you have not logged out of the game).

Type set localecho and press enter TWICE, this will return you to the game and now you can see what the heck you are typing.

Note: You have to do this every time you open a telnet window.

If you wanna be a cool kid, though, and not use plain telnet, try out Portal! http://www.gameaxle.com. It's a nice client that I use myself.
