Post your ideas for Ninjutsu here. Please go beyond naming skills from Naruto, elaborate on how they would work in game and use as much detail as possible.

Submitted this before on the Gboard, but maybe it got lost in the mess. Most Sand player complain there's not enough ninjutsu for them anywho.

Kaze no Yaiba - Sword of Wind
Type: Ninjutsu
Level: Higher tier possibly 80?
Restrictions: Sand Village


User:
You begin to form handseals for Kaze no Yaiba.
You extend your first two fingers making several slashing motions.
You unleash a compact, but violent whirlwind upon Y for xxxx damage!

Target:
X begins to form handseals.
X makes slashing motions and the air in front of you becomes distorted.
You feel yourself being ripped to shreds for xxxx damage !

Room:
X begins to form handseals.
X makes slashing motions and the air in front of Y becomes distorted.
A violent whirlwind rips at Y's body!

Failure:

User:
You make an error while forming the handseals.
You go through the motions but nothing happens.

Room and Target:

X faults in making the proper handseals.
X makes motions but nothing happens.

It's the justu Baki used to kill Hayate. Problem is, it's not really shown well. All you see Baki do is cup his right hand and extend his two fingers and then there's distortion in front of Hayate's (frightened) face.

sand village jutsu

the user places his hands on the ground and begins to absorb chakra from his suroundings. the jutsu affects the room and slowly drains the lf/chakra/stamina of anyone in the room. this absorbed chakara could either be lost or gained by the user, depends on what everyone thinks. i dunno. also i was thinking it should speed up the rate at which water dries in the area, as the room is drained. lasts a couple ticks or until the user leaves the room. just a few idears i had rolling around in my head. i duno

Higher level of Kawarimi

Still a replacement technique, but instead of fleeing - you hide in the room and can try a surprise attack.

A few Sand village ninjutsu..

Fuuton • Mugen Sajin Daitoppa - Infinite Great Dust Breakthrough
Level 30-55
Shukaku-Gaara (In my opinion any shinobi could use it)
Defense against other jutsu.

After inhaling a large amount of air, it can be exhaled creating a gust capable of stopping oncoming attacks. (Much like Kajiheki or suijinheki)

syntax: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa

User messages-
You inhale as deeply as you can...

You exhale all of the air in your chest!
Your mugen sajin daitoppa deflects <insert jutsu name here>! ==Used on doton element attacks==
Your mugen sajin daitoppa causes <insert jutsu name here> to disperse! ==Used on mizu element attacks==
Your jutsu wasn't strong enough to stop <target>'s attack!

Target messages-
<user> inhales deeply...
<user> exhales a massive wave of air in attempt to stop your jutsu!
<user>'s mugen sajin daitoppa deflects your <insert jutsu name here>!
<user>'s mugen sajin daitoppa causes your <insert jutsu name here> to disperse!

Kamaitachi - Cutting Whirlwind
Level 15-30

Fan-type weapon would be required
Would cause a tornado embedded with chakra-sickles to rush at the opponent. The more chakra you pump into the tornado, the more damage done by the sickles.

syntax: Kamaitachi <target> <amount of chakra>

User messages-
You bring your arm across your chest, fan at your side...
You begin moving your chakra to the tip of the fan...
You arc your fan outward towards <target>!
A small/medium/large/massive tornado is formed!
The tornado collides with <target>, scratching/cutting/slicing them! =[damage]=
Your jutsu fails to create a gust strong enough!

Target messages-
<user> brings <his/her> fan to their side...
<user> whips fan at you in an arcing motion!
A small/medium/large/massive tornado is formed!
The tornado smashes into you, scratching/cutting/slicing you! =[damage]=
<user>'s jutsu seems to do nothing.

Renkuudan - Drilling Air Projectile
Level 45-60
Full-Shukaku-Gaara (Again, in my opinion, any shinobi could do it)
Attack
User would draw a large amount of air into his/her chest, imbed chakra into the air, then fire it from their mouth at their target, exploding on contact. The more chakra pumped into the attack, the more powerful it would be.

syntax: Renkuudan <target> <amount of chakra>

User messages-
You draw in as much air into your body as you can...
You begin combining your chakra with the air...
You compact the air-chakra mixture...
You ram your fists into your diaphragm, sending a small/medium/large ball of compressed air hurdling towards <target>!
Your renkuudan smashes into <target> and explodes! =[damage]=
You get choked up trying to draw in air.

Target messages-
<user> takes in an incredible amount of air...
<user> rams <his/her> fists into their diaphragm, sending a small/medium/large ball of compressed air at you!
<user>'s renkuudan smashes into you, exploding on contact! =[damage]=
<user> gets choked up while trying to inhale.

I haven''t really been here long enough to properly suggest levels and strength for them, but I noticed there are very few lightning-based jutsus, (it being my favourite 'element') and thought maybe a small set of electrical jutsu would be cool...

Not necessarily chidori-level killer moves : P, but maybe a semi-projectile launched by clapping the hands or something (I always imagine it as basically the standard handseal pose, only pointing the two fingers and blasting from there), or a temporary lightning infusion that gives you extra attacks at the cost of chakra and extra stamina Possibly an electrocution move that attacks the muscles and causes moves to randomly fail as your muscles spasm... Thunder-based concussive stun moves would be cool too : )

More wind and earth moves would be pretty cool too, but I'm at more of a loss as to exactly what they'd be... Wind always struck me as more defensive, forming barriers of compressed air or something like that, or techniques that hamper the opponent by making them fight a constant powerful wind (although that sounds a little druidic, but that may just be me...), and Sand I always had the impression of more immobilizing techniques... although I haven't seen the whole series, does anyone but Gaara actually use sand?
Otherwise, a set of wind techniques along the lines of "leaf" techniques (for want of a better name) that involve slashing or belting by picking up small bits of the environment and flinging them with deadly speed (a storm of leaves swirling fast enough to be sharp) ... Ohmygod thats razor leaf from pokemon : P But still, I think it would be cool...

Ultimately, I of course have no idea how these would be coded, but I hope maybe some of them are worthwhile ideas : D

Another idea I was thinking of would be... I guess delayed jutsu? Something along the lines of physically placing something on the target, then activating it with a jutsu... I was specifically thinking of something like a long steel wire attached to a kunai, followed by an electrocution jutsu because thats the way I imagine my ninja working, but it could easily be done for most elements - they're sort of reflected in the anime/manga in the grenade-like exploding shuriken and tags, but not with other elements involved that I've seen so far...
So it would be in two parts at least, one to throw the kunai/loop the wire/place the tag, and a second part for the activating handseals - More chakra could mean either extending the round duration of the damage (in the case of electrocution) or more damage (if its an explosion)... There would have to be a limiting factor, ie. the handseals must be activated within 4 rounds or something along those lines, or the opponent gets an exhaustion-esque keyword to type to pull the kunai/tag/wire off before they activate the jutsu, et cetera.

Anyhow, thats the product of today's idle musing = )
