|A large stone bridge has been constructed over the docks, full of |

Characters: Shiro, Suzaku, Sanoske

Shiro is sitting on the side of the bridge fishing with Suzaku. The two of them are deep in conversation. Every now and then one of them will catch a fish and throw it in a bucket sitting between them.

As the two of them converse, Suzaku's eyes remain closed as he appears to be in a calm state, his eyes only opening occasionally. As he feels a slight tug on the line of his fishing pole, he quickly pulls it upwards, catching another fish and throwing it in the bucket. "So, how's it been leading the life of a medic ninja?".

Sanoske walks with his hands in his pockets looking down at the floor as places one foot in front of the other. He looks up at notices two shinobi fishing over the bridge and notices one of the faces. He bends over trying to take a closer look, as if to see the face better, as he walks towards the two.

Shiro yawns slightly "It's difficult not only having to worry about yourself but also having to worry about your team mates health. Thankfully they hardly ever get seriously hurt. Though when they do it's very rewarding to see them come back from the brink of death and know that you were the one that saved them." Feeling someone watching him Shiro turns to the one who is studying him and asks "Can I help you ?".

Suzaku nods to Shiro before another fish is caught and thrown in the bucket. "I guess that makes them consider you as an extremely valuable partner. I haven't seen my teammates for quite some time. I wonder what they're up to..." Hearing light footsteps growing closer to them, Suzaku turns momentarily and notices Sanoske approaching them before he goes back to his fishing.

Sanoske stops abruptly as he is shocked momentarilly from Shiro's action. Raising his hand and rubbing the back of his head, Sanoske smiles and says, "Heh I didn't mean to startle you, I think that I know your friend you're fishing with." Sanoske put his hand back in his pockets and says, "Hi, do I know you from somewhere?" towards Shiro.

Shiro scratches his chin thinking for a moment "Hmmm, are you the little brother of some girl I have dated before ?" turning back to his fishing rod he pulls in a rather small fish. "Or did I see you around the academy? Whats your name ?" Removing the fish from the hook he tosses it in the bucket and baits the hook again.

As Shiro speaks, a small smirk , hidden from view by his 'mask' forms across Suzaku's face. As the other two continue to speak, Suzaku continues his fishing, waiting patiently for another fish to tug on the line and thinking of the sushi he can make with this..

Sanoske looks up into the sky and ponders something for a moment. He then looks back at Shiro and says, "My name is Sanoske Usudune...I have no parents or siblings anymore.. so I don't think I'm someone's younger brother". Sanoske scratches his head and says, "I could of sworn i've seen you somewhere before".

Shiro grins "My name is Sagura Shiro if that jars anything in your memory." Wondering about his poor luck in fishing today suddenly it hits him where he had seen this guy before. Shiro's face lights up "I know where you have seen me before, it's so obvious now that I think about it ! You work at the ramen shop don't you !".

Suzaku continues listening and thinking of sushi. He feels another tug on his fishing pole, but when he pulls it up, it appears to be a random piece of junk that was floating in the water. "Tch..." He tosses the object aside and lowers his line back into the water as the other two try to remember where they supposedly saw each other.

Sanoske laughs momentarilly as he says, "No I've never worked at the ramen shop, I'm a shinobi." He looks over at Suzaku and says, "Hey there Suzaku, it's been a while.". As a few moments go by Sanoske's face brightens up and says, "You know I think i've seen you here before when I was in the Academy... I think I was with my old friend Sesshomaru..".

Shiro hangs his head, he had been so sure that the ramen guess was correct. Shiro in the act of bringing out his bingo book which contained his face and stats suddenly thinks of an unlikely answer "I don't suppose we met on this bridge a while back and I took you out to eat ramen afterwards?" Suddenly he starts reeling in his line and finds that he has caught a big fish. Smiling he goes through the task of removing the hook and baiting his line again.

Suzaku feels another tug on his line, this one stronger than the others. When he pulls it in, he too catches a large fish, smiling to himself. As he turns to the other two who are still trying to figure out where they saw each other, he says, "Maybe you were conducting an experiment on him and he woke up half way through it..." He chuckles slightly as the last few words pass his lips.

Shiro turns to Suzaku "You know you might be right" Shiro digs through his pockets and pulls out a small black book labled experiments and flips through the pages. Upon reaching the end of the book he closes it and puts it back in his pocket. "Well he isn't documented and besides I erase their memory after each experiment." Shiro grins broadly and turns back to the water. You aren't able to tell if he is joking or serious.

Sanoske laughs momentarilly as he says, "No I've never worked at the ramen shop, I'm a shinobi." He looks over at Suzaku and says, "Hey there Suzaku, it's been a while." Sanoske looks at Shiro with a face with no emotion and gives him a big shrug. Sanoske then asks, "Do you mind if I join you guys.".

As Sanoske greets him again, Suzaku responds this time by simply raising his right arm in a fashion that can be considered as a greeting. "Hey..." When Sanoske asks to join them Suzaku says, "If Shiro doesn't mind, go ahead...".

Sanoske shrugs and asks, "Do you mind Shiro?" as he takes a spot next to Shiro on the bridge. Sanoske leans over the railing and looks at his reflection in the water and lets out a big sigh.

Shiro motions to the spot next to him "I don't mind at all, have a seat." Shiro sets his fishing rod beside him and rumages through his backpack till he pulls out three bottles of sake. Grinning he asks "Is anyone thirsty ?" before opening one up and taking a gulp of it. He sets the botles behind him and picks up his fishing rod.

Suzaku shakes his head as Shiro offers him a drink. "I'd rather not drink and fish at the same time. I prefer to keep my mind completely clear while doing things like this..." As he finishes his sentence, he catches another large fish and tosses it into the bucket. He thinks to himself 'Hmmm...maybe I can finally make some decent sushi with this...'

Sanoske smiles and says, "Well I'm not fishing so I guess I'll have a drink Shiro". He looks towards the multiple fish that Suzaku has stored aside him and says, "Heh, so hows it been Suzaku... it's been a while since we fought those ninja.". He turns around and puts his two elbows on the railing and leans back and relaxes.

Shiro reaches back and hands a bottle to Sanoske. Feeling a pull on his line he reels it in only to find that he had caught a rusty old kunai. Pulling it off the hook he throws it and watches as it skips across the water. Shiro suddenly realizes that he hasn't thought about what to do with these fish. He had jumped at the offer to go fishing with Suzaku earlier but hadn't thought about what to do with the fish.

Suzaku closes his eyes as he waits for the next fish to bite, responding to Sanoske. "Hmmm...it didn't seem too long ago to me..." As another average sized fish is caught and tossed into the bucket, he says, "This'll probably make some good sushi." Turning towards Shiro, he says, "Don't you think?"

Sanoske grabs a bottle of sake and takes a gulp of it. As the fish flop in and out of the ocean, water splashes up onto Sanoske's back. He twitches from the water hitting him and says, "All these fish, you guys are gonna have a feast." as he takes another sip of his bottle and wipes his mouth. He looks towards Shiro and says, "Thank you for the drink, its delicious".

Shiro laughs "There are few things in this world that will get me to eat sushi, pretty girls can get me to eat sushi , being drunk will get me to eat sushi, but I am sorry to say my hatred of all things seafood will keep me from eating it almost every other time. On a different note when did you decide to become a cooking nin ?"

Suzaku chuckles while catching another fish. "A ninja needs to eat, and I've loved sushi ever since I was a kid. I can't live on ramen alone. Maybe I'll convince you to eat it if you keep drinking..." After a few moments, he speaks again. "So what do you eat anyway? Ramen? Deer or rabbits from the forest?"

Sanoske again leans back against the railing and takes a sip of his sake. He looks into the sky and looks at al the clouds go by as he thinks to himself. He takes a big deep breath and closes his eyes for a moment, then lets out his breath and takes another sip of his sake as he listens to Shiro and Suzaku talk to each other.

Shiro grins "Well I will eat just about anything besides sushi. Though most of the time I will get too caught up in trying out a new jutsu or working on an experiment to notice I'm hungry. If I am in the forrest I will catch some rabbits to eat or maybe raid the bandits hideout for supplys." While he is saying this he catches a rather small fish and fiddles with it before throwing it back out into the water.

Suzaku nods to Shiro. "Ah, I see..." He catches another fish and as he tosses it into the bucket, he notices that the bucket is nearly full. "Hmmm...so what are you gonna do with your share of the fish if you don't enjoy seafood?" As he says this, he lowers the line into the water once again, waiting to see if any more fish bite.

Sanoske yawns broadly and stretches out a bit. He then looks at Suzaku and Shiro and asks, "What did you guys plan on doing after this?" as he turns around and takes a rather large gulp of sake. He looks into the water and just stares.

Shiro scratches his chin thoughtfully "Well I will probably give you half my share and with the other half.... Well I think you can guess what I will do with the other half" He says with a grin and a wink. "As to what we are doing after this I don't seem to recall us making any plans for that." Noticing how much Sanoske is drinking he smiles and forms a plan "If you are running out of sake you can have the bottle I brought for Suzaku. By the way would you like to see my lab it is full of amazing and wonderfull things" says Shiro with an odd grin on his face.

Suzaku nods, understanding what Shiro is talking about. As Shiro speaks to Sanoske, Suzaku thinks to himself, 'Good thing I didn't drink...' "Hmmm..." He turns towards Shiro. "I was gonna make sushi with these fish as you already know, but maybe I'll hold off on that for a litte while if you guys are taking a trip to your lab...".

Sanoske looks over at Shiro and thinks to himself for a moment. He then looks at Suzaku and then back at Shiro and says, "Sure, that'd be cool I'd like to see your lab". Sanoske finished up his sake and puts down the empty container next to him. He looks up and smiles and says, "I'm good on Suzaku's sake though... thanks anyways". Sanoske rubs the back of his head and asks, "When are we going to see your lab?".

Shiro says "Well we can go anytime you guys like, though I must warn you the lab is a bit of a mess" Grinning he stands up and brushes himself off this was going better then he expected though he couldn't try anything now that Suzaku was tagging along.

Suzaku nods to Shiro. "One more and I'll be done for the day..." After a few moments of silently waiting for his lure to attract a fish, he finally feels something pulling on the line of the fishing pole. Having slightly more difficulty with this one than he did with the others, he finally manages to pull it in, revealing it to be a fish somewhat bigger than the others in the bucket. Smiling, he gets up, saying, "I guess that's it then...".

Sanoske stands up and brushes himself off. While waiting for Shiro and Suzaku to gather their things, Sanoske turns around and rubs the right side of his neck, as if it soothed him. He then turns around and says, "Looks like you got a lot of fish there guys".

Shiro straps his fishing rod to his backpack and picks up the bucket full of fish. "Well guys lets go" Shiro walks a down the bridge and motions for the others to follow him.
