Henaka has mentioned having an RP event in the works, but it might not hurt to hold another RP Workshop as we've had several new players come in the past few weeks. It would even help those used to RPing here by getting to see other styles of roleplay.

It'd be a good excuse for more of our chars to meet each other in game as well.



Along the lines of events though, besides a fighting event does anyone happen to have some ideas on events we could run to help promote more roleplaying?

I think a festival would be fun.

What draws ninja together?

Festivities - Most're linked to certain dates, which makes things a wee bit harder.
Google engine - fire up!
Cherry blossom viewing (Hanami)- Now seasons, this'd be easier to work with. Flowers, karaoke, and sake - who can resist?

Others less likely choices:
Valentine's day - Two words: Population statistics.
Kurisumasu - Not really a festivity in Jap, methinks.
New Year's - More of a quiet time to spend at home.

There're even interesting names like Star festivals (Tanabata) and Moon viewing (Tsukimi), though not too clear about 'em. >_>

Village events - I'm thinking more of NM-wide plots, here.
Perhaps the Uchuukage's gone missing for the longest ever, and ninjas are gathering to organise a manhunt.
Or post-bandit raid - people that're hurt, fires to put out, artifacts to tally, etc.
An Uchuukage-mediated gathering - mayhap he likes to gather his poppets?
Some national-disaster-type thing.

Academy-wise -
Academy get-togethers - Students and alumni included. That, for some reason, I always imagine ending up at the Ramen house. >_> Because I've to agree, getting in the Academy's pretty easy, it's getting out that's the tricky bit.
Training sessions - Which doesn't involve fighting. Rather, it can be an event used to unveil a spanking new jutsu..
