New Building additions

I'll just open this for any of the other builders to post on when they want.

Some of the additions I'd like to see for the OLC here on NarutoMUD are the following:

  • A way to add elemental affinities to mobs
  • A way to add elemental affinities to objects, a la Nidaime Hokage Tobirama's lightning blade, via progs
  • A way to check elemental affinities in progs of mobs/rooms/objects
  • Commands that let us add an increased regeneration of health/stamina/chakra, whether it be mprestorechakra or mprestorestamina, or mpre/degenerateX % rounds, which would increase regeneration of whatever stat is by whatever percent the builder puts in for the allotted rounds. If the latter was implemented, it would open the door for soldier pills(hotly debated, would have to be used very sparingly, with decent amount of difficulty to get)
  • Commands for objects that slowly drain hp/stamina/chakra (mpdrainx #points per second)

I'd have to double check, but I'm pretty sure that we already have hp/chakra/stamina drain.

I do think we have a way to drain stamina and Chakra, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Totally, this and adding specific skills to NPCs. It is my next great undertaking to do. It won't be 'insanely hard' but it'll be a big shift from how things currently work.

Sure, we'd just need to becareful and make sure these type of items aren't just available at Kouin Square and maybe make them one-time gettable.

I have big time mixed feelings on this. I don't want NarutoMUD to have Senzu Beans like DBZ. I don't really mind adding soldier pills, as items, but I have always been nervous about about doing this via prog. If I added the medicinal type pills, I'd probably want to figure what checks and balances we need to make this not ridiculous.

I don't want everyone to turn into pill poppers just because there is zero negative, obviously something has to be a negative or else every ninja in Naruto would use them constantly, but we see only a few do. Maybe cost is the big factor? I dunno, we can spin this into its own thread. As for these restoring commands, I'm game but I think any area that uses them would have to be double checked to make sure there is nothing made that flat out breaks the game.

I think we have this kind of command, but I can't remember now. If not, it'll be easy to add and you can make the object prog randomly re-call this.

Great ideas, Gai. I hope I can get some of these in soon, I'll probably interweave these kinds of updates while I work on Myth and other changes for players.
