New Skill Contest Winners!

Post by Gatz »

Keisu and Alon won! Below are their winning entries!

Alon's
Name: Tetsu Kon Kyoutei

Type: Ninjutsu

Level: 40

Messages:
You concentrate intently as you start forming the hand seals for Tetsu Kon Kyoutei.(Player)
Y gets a focused look in his/her eyes as he/she begins forming hand seals.(Room)
You fail to finish the seal sequence properly and the Shinigami punish you for you failure(Player)
Y drops to one knee and is visibly weakened.

Other:

"Story" of the jutsu: Tetsu Kon Kyotei is a ninjutsu that was derives(spelling?)
from the Kisei Jouyaku ninjutsu. Like with Kisei Jouyaku the user makes a pact
with a Shinigami but instead of guarding the user's soul upon death Tetsu Kon
Kyotei hardens the soul while the user is alive. This comes at a heavy cost though
as the Shinigami constantly feed on the user's chakra while the jutsu is in effect.

Misc: The jutsu will raise the user's armor, I would give a number on how much
but I really don't know the numbers or the specifics of the AC calculation, I'd say
a decent raise but not to high.
The chakra drain should be rather steep, I'd say 10 chakra per second making it
600 chakra per minute.
If the user fails to complete the hand seals properly he/she should lose alot of
chakra, about half of their maximum amount.
The process of making the hand seals should also be rather lengthy, about 20
seconds without Soranjiru or Mastery at the least.

Keisu's
--------------
Name: Kirinonai Sabaku no Shinkirou (Endless Desert of Mirage)
--------------
Type: Genjutsu
--------------
Level: Between 60-70?
--------------
Damage Range: Varies based on the following (possibly): Skill percentage, user's intelligence, user's genjutsu level,

and target's intelligence, and target's genjutsu level
--------------
Messages:
You begin forming seals to perform Kirinonai Sabaku no Shinkirou. (User) [1]
<User> begins forming handseals! (Others) [1]
A ring of chakra blasts harmlessly away from your body as you slam your hands together. (User) [2]
<User> slams his/her hands together, a non-lethal chakra ring exploding from him/her before dissipating.(Others) [2]
You slip up on forming your handseals! (User) [1 Failure]
<User> messes up on some handseals! (Others) [1 Failure]
You slam your hands together, but you screwed something up; you've wasted chakra! (User) [2 Failure]
<User> slams his hands together, but nothing happens. (Others) [2 Failure]
Your surroundings suddenly twist and shift, reforming into a desert! (Target)
--------------
Other:
This Jutsu causes a drain on the target's stamina. The user maintains his/her stance, maintaining the genjutsu. The

target continues fighting, mostly fighting mirages;

Your blow goes through <User>, and his/her form flickers before vanishing!

There is a chance of landing a hit, based on the user's intelligence versus the target's, as well as the user's ability in it.

Each hit would drain a certain amount of stamina, depending on how powerful the user is. Possibly costing 10 for

every attack, and for Taijutsu abilities (like Godfist), an additional percentage. 10-50%, based on statistics again.

I'm not sure how the formula would work, but it would probably be pretty complex with there being a chance of the

target landing a hit and ending the genjutsu... yeah. This is basically the anti-taijutsu. This would also keep the user

from fleeing, and can only be initiated while in combat (You can be hit while doing the handseals, but when you're

maintaining it... you lose concentration and the Chakra flow breaks off). Maybe have it so that this Genjutsu affects all

people trying to attack/fight you, but the more in the fight, the more chakra it costs and the easier it'd be to break. On subject of chakra... I'm not sure how it should be expended. It'd either be every time the user tries to attack, an occasional skill tick, or a combination of both.

Oh, and the "ring" of chakra that bursts out.. it's to disperse your chakra around and create the illusion on targets. And

it'd look cool!

Ah yes. Grouping. There'd be three options you can choose for it. It'd effect people attacking either you (easiest to

use, least cost, and easiest to maintain), your entire group (very costly, hard to maintain), or just your leader (middle

cost, middle maintanence). Of course, you'd be able to do You+Leader, too. Another thing, maybe make it less

effective against people in Sand (maybe Stone, too), since they're used to the conditions of a desert.

There they are in all their un-edited glory. Congratulations to the winners!
