Re: Challenge Command
Is this command currently active? (Feb 2008) Or is this the arena challenge command?

Re: Taijutsu Suggestion Thread
Juggle Kick / Handspring Kick / Flying Crane Attack
A handspring to double-leg kick that sends the opponent into the air, (with a chance to do one of the following)
- interrupting a jutsu mid-cast
- making the opponent lose their next attack round(s)
- 'follow up' - following up with more kicks while the opponent is in mid-air, unable to respond. Diminishing chance every round to keep juggling the opponent in mid air.
I'd see it as a heavy stamina cost, part-tactical part-fun move. The idea of booting people around in the air isn't new, but I like the way Lee, Kakashi and Sasuke can plant a hand, twist and attack with a different limb etc., moving in a new direction. The 'flying' aspect could be interpreted to make this a Tsuru/Crane school ability only.
The descriptions below contain some very obvious cues 'you stagger back unable to attack this round' meant for clarity only. I'd want to make them cooler and less 'obvious'
I have no clue about damage values - I am nowhere near crane school level yet, but I would like this to kick ass

Re: New Area Types
Apologies if these are in already!
A Japanese style Dojo
(perhaps inhabited by a overenthusiastic genin?)
A 'Treetop' level for moving around quickly
(either as an area written to appear to the player as huge, or as a way to get around without walking on the current ground.)
A Japanese (shinto style?) temple
...full of monks, who happen to be buff as hell from training and praying all day.
(with some of those big red temple marker things preceding it!)
Caves
(semi carved out, leading to fully built interiors like Orochimaru's hideouts)
Swamp
(maybe a newbie area, with 'evil' archetype creatures - snakes, insects, etc - I felt a little bad killing rabbits and deer)
On board a Ship
(not like the ferry rides, an area written as a ship ...deck, lower decks, poop deck etc. Pirates but in the naruto style, I guess more like bandits who happen to be on a ship.)
Vertical Mountainside
(more the idea of an area that runs up/down instead of north/south for directions.) Perhaps requires treewalking type levels of chakra consumption to simply traverse up and down...with disastrous consequences if you run out of chakra before getting over the top!). The naruto guys spend a lot of time upside down, sideways to the ground and on top of water, I figure the easy one is sideways to the ground.
Mountain Pinnacle
Something to have the mountainside lead to Hermits, magical creatures (to make summoning contracts with!) A great place to strive towards to get things like summoning jutsus, pets, etc.
Old exam areas
(places full of traps, puppets, puzzles that were used in previous exams - some broken, some still work)
Destroyed Village
(still burning? raided years ago? Basically a trashed version of a residential area, with bandits at night perhaps)
"Inside a Genjutsu "
An area written as though the player is experiencing a genjutsu. Fantastic descriptions, confusing directions (possibly non standard, like forward/back/left/right instead of n/e/s/w kind of thing).
End of the area is your trainer dispelling the illusion and letting you out. Obviously not a 'fatal genjutsu' but more a training exercise.
Chasm/Flattened Trees/Crater
The naruto characters often open huge chasms in the ground, clear vast areas of trees etc. One of these 'old ultimate battle areas'. Especially fun for players/fans if you can transparently link the area to a battle from the series.
Just a few ideas floating in the brain
