Koroshiya & Yuchihi
Post 1: Hitoshi · 2007-09-09 07:30 UTC
Walking into the area, Koroshiya watches the orange and red glow from the rising
sun as it beams through the blooming cherry blossoms and budding limbs.
Koroshiya sits down on a log and reaches into his back pocket to grab a letter.
He grasps it with both hands and tears the seam with his thumb, as he begins to
unfold the crumpled letter he notices someone walk into the field..
Yuchihi runs through the forest with tears streaming down his face. "I'll get
them someday" he thinks to himself, "I'll prove to them that I'm not a
weakling!" Ahead he sees the forest thinning out, leading to the Old Practice
field he usually trains at alone. Slowing down he quickly darts upwards and
hides in the branches of a tree as he notices someone sitting in the middle of
the field holding something in their hands.
Koroshiya begins to read the letter, following the words with his right hand.
His eyes are filled with an array of emotions as he takes in the contents of the
message. Midway through a sentence Koroshiya's hand stops and he glances up.
"Hmm, probably just one of those damn squirrels, annoying little buggers." he
says, dismissing a distant noise. He goes back to reading the letter intently
and with undiverted focus.
Yuchihi watches the figure from behind the branches. "A man it seems..." he
whispers silently. "Wonder what he's doing here..." He notices the item the
man is holding as a piece of paper. "Well maybe he wants to read in silence,
he's picked a perfect day for that." Slowly he drops from the tree and
advances towards the field using the sound of the wind and darkness of the night
to cover his tracks. "He almost noticed me... I'll have to be more careful"
he smiles amused "and find out more.".
Finishing the letter, Koroshiya folds up the paper a few times and
returns it to his back pocket. Scoffing, seemingly disappointed with himself he
says, "I really should write them more often, Dad send me a letter every
week." Koroshiya reaches onto his belt and grabs his trench-knives and twirls
them around his fingers. He laughs a little and finally slides them onto his
fists, "Where'd that damned squirrel go?" Koroshiya walks up to a nearby tree
and sends a swift, solid punch into the trunk of a large tree. As he listens for
the squirrel he becomes suspicious, "That's one quiet animal. Here squirrelly,
squirrelly, squirrelly!" Koroshiya announces..
Yuchihi sits a few yards away watching from a bush as the man yells for a
squirrel in a tree. "Great" he thinks to himself "I come out here to train
and run into a guy tryin' to kill squirrels with blades..." He advances slowly
hiding behind a tree a few feet away from the man, watching him look for a
squirrel.
Koroshiya sits back down on the log and sits up tall, placing his hands on his
knees. "How long are you going to hide behind that tree before you introduce
yourself?" He lets out a hearty laugh and stares up at the sky while kicking at
the dusty soil with his feet. As the wind picks up a bit Koroshiya's hair,
already disheveled, seems to flail wildly. He pats down his hair and pushes his
glasses up onto his nose, "Well, I bet you came here for a reason. I'm not
stopping you.".
Yuchihi growls lightly to himself. "How in the hell did you know I was there?"
he shouts out at the man as he steps out from behind the tree. "I didn't even
leave out a sound." He walks towards the training grounds slowly pulling a
kunai from the pouch at his waist. "My name is Yuchihi Sakiaro.".
Rising from the log and brushing off his dusty pants, Koroshiya turns to
Yuchihi. "Squirrels don't tend to walk on two feet. Anyway, it's nice to meet
you, Yuchihi." Koroshiya says, giggling a bit to himself. "My name is
Koroshiya Kemuri of the Leaf Village." He glances at Yuchihi, sizing him up,
"You should be a bit more cautious, some people around here would take your
head without a second thought.".
Yuchihi laughs as he steps into the field. "I'd like to see them try!" He
slowly pushes the kunai back into the pouch and sits down. "What're you doing
out here anyways?".
Koroshiya looks over to Yuchihi, "I always come out here to read, the sun rises
right over those trees" Koroshiya points to the eastern section of the field
"it's one of the prettiest places in the entire village." He motions Yuchihi
to stand up, "You're so confident in your ability, lets see what you got."
Koroshiya motions Yuchihi over as he walks to the center of the field, "Come
on.".
Yuchihi looks at Koroshiya, "Ok... but I'm warning you... I won't take it
easy!" With that he launches at Koroshiya pulling a kunai from the pouch and
throwing it fiercely. He then dodges to the side and throws another.
Koroshiya laughs to himself and begins running towards Yuchihi. He leaps into
the air and kicks at the first kunai so fast there isn't even a shadow, even
with the glowing sun. Spinning in the air, Koroshiya deflects the second with
his trench-knives. He lands, palms something, and spins with his hand along the
ground, stirring up a good bit of dust. "You'll have to do a bit better then
that. Really, show me what you got!" he says, quite enthusiastically.
Yuchihi gapes at the speed of Koroshiya. He grabs another kunai from his pouch
and grips it firmly in his hand. "If you want a fight... you've got it!" He
dashes forward quickly closing the distance between his opponent and throws the
kunai as he launches a kick at his head. "You're finished!" he says with a
grin.
Koroshiya reaches his hand straight out and catches Yuchihi's leg, "I like
your intensity!" Koroshiya lets go of Yuchihi's leg and spins
counter-clockwise and attempts to hook Yuchihi's grounded leg with the backside
of his trench-knives, "You still have a long way to go!" he says vehemently.
Yuchihi falls to the ground as Koroshiya hooks his leg keeping him from
regaining balance from the last attack. "You're good" he growls, "but I
won't give up!" He rolls backwards and focuses chakra to his feet. With that
he jumps backwards and lightning quick, disappears into the trees. "Damn! I
can't beat his speed." He throws a kunai from the branches and quickly jumps
to another tree.
Koroshiya forms the handseal Tora and the bakuretsu scroll he planted earlier
begins to spark. The scroll ignites and a concussive wave blasts outward. The
kunai hits the shockwave and is blown away. Koroshiya begins to softly say to
himself, "Hebi, Tora, Saru, Buta, Uba, Tora," he takes in a extremely deep
breath, "Katon: Goukakyuu no Jutsu!" Koroshiya exhales a very large flame into
the nearby trees!
Yuchihi jumps backwards from the tree as a large flame flows through it and
catches the right side of his clothes. "Dammit! I've gotta do something or I
won't survive." He lands on the ground in clear sight and launches at
Koroshiya. "Taijutsu attack: Triple Kick!" He throws three kicks at
Koroshiya's chest with a grimace.
Koroshiya quickly forms a handseal, "Baikyuu Kesson!" He launches a vicious
punch at the ground, hefting huge boulders from the earth within nearly 5
meters. Koroshiya quickly leaps backward, "You need to be a bit more subtle,
that straight on approach is going to get you killed." He taps his bladed
knuckles together with a reverberating clang to knock the dust off them, "Get
over here and I'll give you a few pointers.".
Yuchihi lands on one of the boulders and grins at Koroshiya. "Come on! I almost
had you and you knew it!" With a grimace he jumps to the ground and advances
towards Koroshiya holding his burned arm. "What can you teach me?" He asks as
he sits in front of Koroshiya.
Koroshiya yells, "Henge!"
Koroshiya become covered in a veil of smoke!
Yuchihi this is one little trick I picked up, "I don't suspect you can do
this, now can you?" Yuchihi lets out a hefty belly laugh and waits for the
OTHER Yuchihi to respond.
Yuchihi gapes at the copy of himself standing in front of him. "How in the
hell?" he sighs. "Well I guess not... that's nifty though.".
Koroshiya returns to his normal apperance!
Koroshiya says, "Well, that was funny." He sizes up Yuchihi once more, "For
one thing you have horrible balance, and your aim with a kunai isn't the
best." Koroshiya steadies his stance, "When you are going to kick you have to
maintain perfect balance to maximize your damage." He rises his leg and snaps a
vicious kick into a nearby tree and the crack of the trunk echos through the
nearby forest.
Yuchihi watches Koroshiya with wonder. "Good tip, but my balance is fine. I can
walk on tree limbs and everything without falling." With that he darts upwards
going from limb to limb quickly until he reaches the top of the tree. "See?"
he shouts down "I have balance.".
Assuming a snake-like stance and focusing chakra into his fist Koroshiya
launches a punch at the trunk of the tree Yuchihi is in, "Bato Shing: God
Fist!" His fist tears straight through the trunk, and the tree begins to topple.
"OK then, lets see how good your chakra control is!".
Yuchihi loses his balance as the tree starts to topple and falls straight to the
ground. A large cloud of dust blows up around his body as it hits the ground
with a loud thud. "What're you? Nuts!?!" he yells in anger. "Or are you just
trying to kill me?" He quickly rolls to his feet and focuses his chakra to his
hands. "Watch this!" he screams as he jumps upwards and places his palms on
the bottom of a thick branch and hangs there without using his fingers.
Koroshiya looks at Yuchihi, "You've got some potential but you need to humble
up a bit, most enemies you face wont be as generous as I am." Koroshiya waves
Yuchihi over, "Get down from the damn tree you probably can't hold on for very
long."
Yuchihi releases the chakra buildup in his hands and drops from the tree. "I'm
fine..." he growls. He walks towards Koroshiya rubbing his burned arm and
working through his almost complete chakra consumption. "Now what do you want
me to do?".
Koroshiya says, "I want you to settle down first." Koroshiya walks over to the
downed tree, sits down on the trunk, then waves Yuchihi over. "Sit down, I want
to show you something.".
Yuchihi stands up and walks over to the tree. He grins as he sits down beside
Koroshiya. "So how did you become so strong?".
Koroshiya points to the east, "You see that building peaking just over those
trees? That was everything to me, I'm the youngest in my family and all my
brothers treated me like crap." He starts to correct his posture and sit up
tall, "I came to this country to prove them wrong, to prove that just because I
was young doesn't mean I'm weak. I worked so hard to make sure I was able to
pass through that building successfully it consumed me." Koroshiya gets a glow
in his eye and turns to Yuchihi, "I want you to think about what drives you,
what makes you keep training so hard, what makes you so proud. The thing that
makes it all worth it, because in the end, if you don't have a goal it's all
meaningless. No matter how strong you are, how many jutsu you know, did you
really accomplish anything?".
Yuchihi looks at Koroshiya and then looks at the building he pointed to. "I do
have a goal. I'm sick of people always picking on me and beating me up. My goal
is to prove that I'm not a loser. To become stronger than them all. To be the
strongest around. One day I'll be a master shinobi and no one will stop me!".
Koroshiya laughs, "That's good, keep that in mind and one day when you get one
of these babies" Koroshiya taps his forehead protector, "you'll look back at
that building and it'll remind you why you became a ninja, why you came to this
country." Koroshiya picks himself off the log and adjusts his glasses, "We
aren't that different, you and I, keep that pride. Be proud of what you've
accomplished, but always remember that a shinobi must adapt and must always be
three steps ahead." He turns his back to Yuchihi, "I must go, hopefully someone'll
clean this mess up, it was very nice to meet you Yuchihi Sakiaro. Perhaps we'll
meet again. If you ever need to find me just ask around about Team Kamaitachi,
we're pretty well known around here." Koroshiya strides into the middle of the
field and bounds into the forest.
Yuchihi stands up and walks into the middle of the field. "Yes, Koroshiya, we
will meet again." He grins. "And next time... I'll be even stronger. Until
then farewell." He turns towards the town and dashes off into the forest.
