Map of the "Whole World"

Now it's not the whole world, but I will be having most of it in my map...
The map isn't quite finished yet, in fact I still have to put in the descriptions in for every single room, but it's coming along nicely.

What's in the map: I have all generally (open, closed and locked) and vertically connected rooms, but no hidden rooms will be on the map. I also will have descriptions for every single room in my maps, including all stationary mobs and objects in the rooms. Since the map is divided into parts, each exit to different areas will be labeled as such.
How the map works: click on a room and POOF! a description will appear in the upper right hand box. There are buttons to switch maps (e.g. from the academy floor one to the bandit forest), and even a title screen!
When the map will be released: Since I still have to get a lot of descriptions and verify map structure, the map won't be out for at least another 5 days, and then it has to meet Gatz's approval, so give it a week.
Who is making the map: I am physically making the map, but both Yamashita and Ichiro have had a helping hand in it's creation, getting descriptions, laying out map structure for me, and bug checking.
Viewing the map: The map is being made in Flash 8 Professional, so you must have at least flash player 8, preferably flash player 9.

When the map is done, I will post it here, or if Gatz requests a link to it...

While my brother (Isamu) works on this, I'll put up my "bare bones" Excel version that he's converting to a neat flash app. It's in pdf format and includes the basic public areas (minus the nasty bandit area); no spoilers for you newbies. Since I can't attach it here, I've put it up on Drop.io:

got 2 area descriptions still to get, then give it to gatz to approve, but other than those things it's done.

It's almost done!
I know I promised this a long time ago, but Gatz and I have been deliberating over it, and it's finally almost done!
It has verry pretty colors now! not just white and blue...
I hope everyone will like it!
btw, It should be done within another couple of weeks, Spore is very addicting!

Before I make a few suggestions I just want to say thanks for the great resource and all the hard work you put into it. I hope that my suggestions can help make your map even better than it already is. So without further delay...

Is there a way you can make the map show which areas lead to different parts of your map and what parts they lead to? You did it on the ninja academy with just some text, but for someone fairly new like me the rest of the areas get confusing if I'm trying to figure out how to get from one place to another. It might also be cool to make the text that says where it leads click-able so it take you to the next area automatically.

It might also be cool to add a listing of where things like shops etc. are or at least make the rooms have different icons on the map so they are easily identifiable.
